Responsibilities
- Provide security automation and application development expertise for information security.
- Support the organization with substantial knowledge in programming and application development.
- Assist in detection and alerting through various security tools.
- Support the implementation of new security tools and infrastructure as code.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security standards and practices.
- Support audit and continuous monitoring projects.
- Self-direct and operate with reduced oversight in day-to-day tasks.
- Devise and implement improvements to processes and technologies.
- Evaluate new technologies and processes that enhance security capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address identified vulnerabilities.
Requirements
- Understanding of cloud computing concepts and familiarity with AWS and Azure.
- Familiarity with common security vulnerabilities, threats, and attack vectors.
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering languages and full stack development.
- Hands-on experience building backend services, APIs, and databases.
- Familiarity with Linux and modern software development tools.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for documenting and presenting technical information.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changes across projects.
- Ability to work on FedRAMP initiatives with the need for immigration support.
