Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, integrate, test, debug, document, and deploy new and modified software and SAP applications.
  • Gather requirements and translate business and technical needs into application, system, architecture, and process solutions.
  • Develop SAP ABAP applications and RICEFW objects across modules including SAP SD, MM, FICO, and PP.
  • Perform troubleshooting, production support, issue resolution, performance tuning, and security improvements.
  • Evaluate solution options, conduct feasibility analysis, prepare high-level designs and effort estimates, and assess business-process impacts.
  • Act as an escalation point and technical resource for IT colleagues and stakeholders with less experience.
  • Define and enforce software development standards related to security, performance, resiliency, testing, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with end users, product owners, business users, cross-functional teams, senior leaders, and executives.
  • Manage multiple assignments, prioritize technical work, identify schedule risks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead projects or project steps when assigned and provide feedback and technical guidance to team members.

Requirements

  • At least 8 to 10 years of software development experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience designing and developing SAP ABAP-based applications.
  • Preferred experience with interfaces using middleware solutions and SAP DevOps tools or practices.
  • Experience with workflow management, HANA code pushdown techniques, and SAP performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with ABAP Units is required.
  • Experience designing RICEFW objects in SAP SD, MM, FICO, and PP modules.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and software development standards.
  • Ability to work across multiple IT teams, prioritize and plan technical work, conduct feasibility analysis, and propose high-level designs with estimates.
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
