Responsibilities
- Architect, design, implement, verify, and optimize GPU hardware, drivers, features, applications, and tools.
- Write complex features, drivers, and APIs in languages including C, C++, Perl, and Python for different platforms.
- Develop and maintain pre- and post-silicon tests across simulation, emulation, and on-device environments.
- Identify design deficiencies, propose solutions, and implement quality improvements in industry-standard APIs and GPU hardware.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, developers, standards groups, and third-party vendors to deliver new functionality.
- Write detailed design documentation and feature descriptions for developers and customers.
- Provide guidance to other team members and work independently with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 2+ years of software engineering or related experience; or a master's degree plus 1+ year; or a PhD in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of academic or work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Preferred: master's degree in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred: 2+ years of relevant GPU experience.
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
- Preferred: 1+ year of experience interacting with senior leadership.
- Equivalent experience may be considered if the candidate demonstrates the required competencies and ability to fulfill the duties.
