Base Salary
$90k - $120k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and peer engineers to deliver well-scoped product features.
- Build and maintain full-stack, high-performance, and highly available applications.
- Design scalable distributed systems with a holistic perspective.
- Apply test-driven development and CI/CD practices to deliver reliable, high-quality software.
- Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across Engineering, Product, GTM, and Customer Success.
- Evaluate tradeoffs between SQL and NoSQL databases and use caching mechanisms effectively.
- Continuously improve engineering productivity and keep up with technology trends.
Requirements
- 3 to 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in one or more of Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript.
- Experience developing full-stack, high-performance, and highly available applications.
- Strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns.
- Experience building scalable systems and commitment to test-driven CI/CD practices.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Knowledge of caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Demonstrated experience designing distributed systems.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Bilingual English and Chinese skills preferred.
- Experience with NextJS or other front-end technologies preferred.
