Responsibilities
- Build and ship Copilot Shopping experiences across web and mobile with emphasis on UX polish, accessibility, performance, and reliability.
- Work across client applications, services and APIs, data contracts, telemetry, experimentation, and operational tooling.
- Partner with Product, Design, and Data Science to define metrics, instrument telemetry, run experiments, and iterate on outcomes.
- Design reusable UI components and client patterns while contributing to service integration and backend changes.
- Perform code reviews, automated testing, performance profiling, monitoring, alerting, incident response, and live-site ownership.
- Debug cross-layer client, service, and data or telemetry issues and improve observability and time-to-diagnosis.
- Make architecture decisions that improve modularity, maintainability, scalability, and developer velocity.
- Mentor team members and provide technical leadership, documentation, and engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Meaningful frontend and full-stack ownership delivering polished, performant user experiences across web and/or mobile surfaces.
- Fluency in at least one primary client stack, such as React, Kotlin, or Swift.
- Experience integrating clients with backend systems through contracts such as REST/JSON, GraphQL, SSE, or WebSockets.
- Ability to debug client issues and drive performance optimizations for high-quality user experiences.
- Experience building accessible applications following WCAG and ADA specifications.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering, product management, design, data science, and partner teams while using telemetry and data to iterate.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree with 6+ years of experience, or a bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Must pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
Benefits
