Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and commercialize Qualcomm AI Runtime software for embedded and cloud-edge platforms.
- Optimize AI inference algorithms and large models for CPU, GPU, and NPU hardware accelerators.
- Build and maintain large C/C++ software stacks using software engineering best practices.
- Enable on-device inference for LLMs and other Generative AI models on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, and test engineers on system-level software solutions.
- Analyze performance requirements and interfaces and debug complex software issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent qualification as stated.
- At least 4 years of software engineering or related work experience for the listed doctoral-degree path; the posting also states 5+ years for a master’s degree and 6+ years for a bachelor’s degree.
- The requirements section separately states 15 years of relevant software development experience and notes that openings exist at multiple levels.
- At least 3 years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Strong hands-on C++ experience is mandatory; Python alone and C alone are insufficient.
- Strong knowledge of C/C++ programming, design patterns, and operating-system concepts.
- Experience optimizing algorithms for CPU, GPU, or NPU AI hardware accelerators.
- Strong understanding of Generative AI models, including LLMs, LVMs, LMMs, self-attention, cross-attention, and KV caching.
- Knowledge of floating-point and fixed-point representations and quantization concepts.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, communication, presentation, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in Hyderabad five days onsite and relocate if necessary.
