Responsibilities
- Own the technical direction and architecture of custom software solutions and lead teams through design and delivery.
- Set development standards and ensure code quality, scalability, and performance align with business objectives.
- Serve as the final escalation point for highly complex, visible, and sensitive customer issues.
- Provide customer-facing support during pre- and post-implementation launches and act as a Customer Support liaison during implementations.
- Troubleshoot and maintain installed technical solutions, data-driven applications, databases, virtual environments, and shared instances.
- Analyze networking, application performance, database, web service, and integration issues through resolution.
- Support and troubleshoot technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, SAP HANA, Java, Linux, SAP, and web services.
- Create, edit, and maintain knowledge entries and best-practice documentation.
- Provide technical expertise, work leadership, and assistance to less senior staff.
- Maintain customer and internal relationships, communicate customer requirements, and coordinate with other teams.
- Participate in rotational on-call duties and assigned projects or other duties.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience is required; additional information states twelve or more years of relevant industry experience.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience troubleshooting, maintaining, or developing data-driven applications connected to relational databases, XML sources, high-volume web services, and big-data backend systems.
- Subject matter expertise in one or more of database technology, Java, XML, web services, ERP systems, network architecture, or database and application performance.
- Expertise with XML, REST, JSON, SoapUI, Postman, and supported transmission and record types.
- Experience with data security, operations, data governance, web programming, HTTP programming, ABAP web services, Java, SAP NetWeaver, and SAP Mobility Technology.
- Understanding of virtual machines, NAS, Unix, shell programming, mainframe systems, FTP scripting, ECG, and TWS.
- Deep understanding of networking protocols and strong debugging skills across technologies and programming languages.
- Experience handling customer escalations and working calmly in stressful situations.
- Strong analytical, creative problem-solving, communication, organizational, presentation, facilitation, interpersonal, and customer-focused skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages and business communications and office equipment.
