Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test backend application and middleware components for functionality, quality, and performance.
- Deliver working software to production with appropriate documentation and configuration parameters.
- Analyze and fix production bugs and support production operations.
- Contribute to technical discipline and collaboration across the technical chapter.
- Handle story refinement, coding, backlog management, environment management, releases, and monitoring.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with a similar technical stack.
- Strong Java 21 or higher and Spring experience, including Spring Boot, MVC, Core, Security, and dependency injection.
- Knowledge of microservices, hexagonal architecture, Circuit Breaker, API Gateway, Service Discovery, Feature Flags, design patterns, SOLID, Clean Code, and software craftsmanship.
- Backend and DevOps awareness, including understanding of overall architecture and infrastructure.
- Experience with unit, integration, smoke, and contract testing, plus JUnit, Mockito, MockMvc, WireMock, and PowerMock.
- Experience with Maven, Docker, OpenShift or Kubernetes, Ansible, Git, DDD, CI/CD pipelines, Azure Pipelines, and GitHub.
- Experience working in Agile teams using Scrum, Kanban, or XP.
- Excellent spoken and written English is required.
- Desirable qualifications include retail banking knowledge, Flyway or Liquibase, Prometheus, JWT, mutual TLS, access tokens, GitHub Copilot, BDD, reactive programming, Akka, Scala, Cassandra, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Apache Camel, Selenium, Cucumber, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Grafana, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
