Responsibilities
- Architect a unified frontend platform across multiple backend services and engineering teams.
- Define module boundaries, routing, shared state, independent delivery patterns, shared libraries, component systems, and package distribution.
- Set performance and bundle budgets, diagnose performance issues, and implement real-user monitoring.
- Lead the migration and consolidation of existing web applications without disrupting clients or users.
- Build accessible, responsive experiences for desktop and mobile browsers in partnership with UX designers and product teams.
- Write production frontend code, establish coding standards, review code, mentor engineers, and help design and conduct frontend interviews.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in frontend or UI development.
- Deep expertise in React, Next.js, modern TypeScript, and build tooling.
- Experience building or scaling a large enterprise frontend composed of many services and developed by multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose, measure, and improve UI performance.
- Strong problem-solving, system-level thinking, communication, and architectural tradeoff skills.
- Preferred: experience with micro-frontend architectures or module federation, user personas, UX research, accessibility standards, Figma, and healthcare or other regulated domains.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
