Base Salary

$155k - $261k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support container-based platform solutions that improve developer productivity and accelerate software delivery.
  • Build and maintain Kubernetes platform capabilities, reusable deployment patterns, Helm charts, and platform automation tools.
  • Develop and optimize secure, scalable CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
  • Partner with application teams to improve onboarding, self-service capabilities, and adoption of containerized solutions.
  • Implement container and Kubernetes security practices, vulnerability management, and compliance controls.
  • Support platform reliability, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud-native engineering standards and platform modernization.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to continuous platform innovation.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience developing enterprise software applications using Java.
  • Advanced Bash scripting, Linux OS internals and boot-chain knowledge, containers/OCI, Podman, CI/CD pipeline engineering, and Python experience.
  • Knowledge of Linux distributions including RHEL, Rocky, CentOS, and Ubuntu, plus Packer experience.
  • Hands-on experience building and supporting Kubernetes environments, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Strong experience with Helm for Kubernetes application packaging and deployment.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes Docker, Docker Compose, Terraform, Terraform Cloud, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, API development and security, container security, vulnerability assessment, Kubernetes observability and performance optimization, service meshes, and enterprise developer platforms.
  • Preferred familiarity includes Aqua Security, Qualys, Trivy, Snyk, GitHub Copilot, prompt engineering, and Jira Cloud.
