Responsibilities

  • Develop IT systems supporting the Institutional Securities Fixed Income and Equities businesses.
  • Build data integration and feeding solutions with high-throughput and resiliency requirements.
  • Develop calculations for regulatory scenarios requested by the Market Risk Department.
  • Participate in the full system lifecycle from requirements gathering and user-story refinement through solution design, coding, and support.
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Work across Java, Scala, Python, data management systems, and Jenkins-based pipelines.
  • Understand, enhance, and maintain wider components, including legacy code.
  • Support users and collaborate with the support organization to resolve challenging technical and business questions.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of development experience in Java or Scala.
  • Willingness to learn and work with both Java and Scala.
  • Object-oriented design skills and understanding or interest in functional programming concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with stakeholders and understand business requirements.
  • Good command of English and strong general communication skills.
  • Knowledge of data engineering, architecture, and data modeling is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work with legacy code and in-house frameworks.
  • Spring knowledge is advantageous.
  • Experience with Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, pull requests, and JIRA is advantageous.
  • Prior knowledge of financial products is advantageous but not required.
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant IT or engineering field is advantageous.
