Responsibilities
- Design and build the core architecture for an enterprise workflow automation platform.
- Make independent decisions about the technology stack, architecture patterns, and implementation.
- Create APIs, integrations, and workflow engines adaptable to enterprise requirements.
- Deploy virtually or on-site into customer organizations across the United States.
- Conduct customer discovery sessions, understand workflows, and rapidly prototype tailored solutions.
- Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise automation solutions and iterate quickly based on customer needs.
- Guide senior engineers, establish technical patterns, and lead teams through technical challenges.
- Act as the technical face of the company during client engagements and provide constructive technical leadership.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience building and shipping complex production software across front-end and back-end systems.
- At least 2 years of experience building generative AI into real products.
- Expertise with TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern stacks such as Next.js, React, Node, Nest, and Express.
- Experience with Postgres, SQL, caches, and vector stores.
- Experience using LLM-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf, or Copilot, including prompt design, testing, problem decomposition, and safe review of AI output.
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization, RBAC/ABAC, auditing, data residency, secrets management, and PII handling.
- Familiarity with Vercel, AWS, GCP, or Azure; Terraform or Pulumi; and monitoring and observability.
- Strong client-facing communication, leadership, autonomy, ownership, and ambiguity-navigation skills.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, logistics, or healthcare/life sciences is valued.
- Experience setting expectations and leading teams through technical challenges is valued.
