Base Salary
$200k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design, architecture, and continuous improvement of Continuous Delivery pipelines from artifact promotion through production rollout and rollback.
- Build reusable deployment automation and release orchestration across applications, services, environments, and regions.
- Implement progressive delivery strategies including blue/green, canary, rolling, percentage-based, regional, and tenant-based releases.
- Develop automated health checks, deployment gates, validation, feature-flag integrations, and rollback capabilities.
- Evolve CI/CD frameworks with artifact management, automated testing, security checks, quality gates, deployment health checks, and release telemetry.
- Establish deployment guardrails, observability metrics, dashboards, and automated release decisions based on application and production health.
- Partner with Cloud Platform, SRE, and Infrastructure teams on cloud, networking, IAM, containers, Kubernetes/ECS, configuration, and platform dependencies.
- Participate in deployment and production incident investigations and drive permanent remediation and reliability improvements.
- Define technical standards and reference architectures, lead complex initiatives, and mentor senior and staff engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Release Engineering, Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Deep hands-on experience designing and operating Continuous Delivery and deployment automation platforms at scale, including artifact promotion, validation, and rollback.
- Strong experience with progressive delivery, automated canary analysis, feature flagging, and controlled feature releases.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as CircleCI, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, or equivalent, including reusable pipelines and platform modernization.
- Strong programming and scripting skills in Go, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience integrating automated testing, security, quality, operational checks, observability, and production telemetry into deployment decisions.
- Solid understanding of AWS, Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform, containers, Kubernetes or ECS, Helm or Kustomize, GitOps or declarative deployment models, and multi-region deployments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across distributed systems and production environments.
- Demonstrated technical leadership across multiple engineering teams, including establishing deployment standards and coaching engineers.
- Experience with software supply-chain security and DevSecOps practices, with a track record of improving deployment lead time, change failure rate, and recovery time.
