Responsibilities
- Translate product requirements and functional maps into technical designs and frameworks.
- Prepare and review technical specifications and code.
- Contribute code when required and validate development builds with early feedback.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery and support production teams in resolving issues.
- Develop tools that improve production support-team productivity.
- Collaborate with product management and Agile team members to deliver business value.
- Guide and mentor junior developers on the Java J2EE technology stack.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Experience developing applications with Java and the Spring Boot framework.
- Experience with messaging and integration middleware such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, including micro front ends.
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server and non-relational databases such as MongoDB.
- Knowledge of object-oriented design and development.
- Hands-on experience with process tools such as Azure DevOps and JIRA.
- Experience with SVN and Git version control.
- Experience with unit testing and test automation frameworks.
- Understanding of payment systems, including real-time capabilities, is preferred.
- Understanding of CI/CD and cloud-based deployment opportunities is preferred.
