Sr Lead Software Engineer - Java / Python

- Execute and oversee end-to-end software solutions, engineering standards, architecture, and technical troubleshooting for trading systems.
- Design and build high-performance, latency-sensitive services while accounting for upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Develop, review, debug, and maintain secure, high-quality production code.
- Lead technical analysis, estimation, planning, code reviews, architecture sessions, and retrospectives.
- Establish reliability goals and implement observability, resilience patterns, operational readiness, automation, and remediation.
- Lead incident response and post-incident reviews to improve production stability and performance.
- Define integration contracts, API and versioning strategies, and deprecation paths for platform services.
- Lead adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices and validation standards.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to inclusive, collaborative, and continuously improving team practices.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience with Java and Python.
- Advanced hands-on expertise in Java 17 or later, including concurrency, memory management, and object-oriented design.
- Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for mission-critical platforms.
- Experience designing clean APIs and rollout strategies for distributed systems, including integration and backward compatibility.
- Practical experience with Spring/Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Linux, and networking or messaging concepts.
- Proficiency across the software development life cycle, including automated testing, application resiliency, security, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience leading enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs and outputs.
- Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences and ability to work in globally distributed teams.
- Preferred experience with messaging systems and market protocols such as MQ, Kafka, FIX, and Solace.
- Preferred experience with observability stacks, resilience engineering, low-latency platforms, and regulated environments with strong auditability and controls.
