Base Salary

$176k - $293k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement end-to-end cloud data pipelines for compensation ingestion, calculation, validation, and downstream distribution.
  • Build and maintain Python ETL/ELT workflows using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and S3.
  • Architect event-driven workflows using AWS EventBridge, SQS, and SNS.
  • Implement data quality, reconciliation, auditing, monitoring, scalability, transparency, and automation capabilities.
  • Modernize legacy compensation platforms into scalable, cloud-native solutions in partnership with architects and product teams.
  • Model, transform, and optimize data in RDS, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server databases.
  • Apply CI/CD and DevOps practices to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root-cause resolution.
  • Communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders, compensation subject-matter experts, and cross-functional partners.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, influence, and continuous-improvement direction.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience designing and delivering complex enterprise systems.
  • 7+ years of hands-on data engineering experience using Python and SQL.
  • Experience with AWS services including Glue, Lambda, EventBridge, RDS, and S3.
  • Ability to design scalable, event-driven, cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and modern software engineering standards.
  • Experience with .NET, C#, JavaScript, Angular, or API development is preferred.
  • Experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouses is preferred.
  • Background in compensation, payroll, financial calculations, or rules-driven systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Jira, TeamCity, or Octopus Deploy is preferred.
  • Strong systems thinking, problem solving, collaboration, stakeholder communication, technical mentorship, and ownership are expected.
