- Architect an enterprise-scale platform on AWS for tens of thousands of users.
- Evaluate the Postgres/Supabase backend and design caching, multi-region, and global federation strategies.
- Own load-testing strategy and responsiveness targets across geographies.
- Design security and access-control architecture for sensitive content, including RBAC and ABAC.
- Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, technical standards, and non-functional requirements.
- Guide and mentor engineers on cloud best practices and patterns.
- Partner with security and compliance teams on enterprise controls.
- Support build-versus-buy decisions and technology evaluations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in architecture.
- Senior cloud architecture experience on AWS and experience designing high-scale, low-latency, multi-region distributed systems.
- Experience with caching strategies, data federation, and performance/load testing.
- Experience with security architecture, RBAC/ABAC, infrastructure-as-code, and containerization.
- Strong knowledge of networking, IAM, cost optimization, and observability tooling.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and technical leadership skills.
- Consulting experience is required; AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification and Life Sciences industry experience are preferred.
