Software Engineer (Infrastructure)
Thought MachineResponsibilities
- Support the engineering team in building reliable and scalable applications.
- Design and build tools that improve service scalability and availability, automating processes wherever possible.
- Develop observability and orchestration tooling so customers can monitor and manage deployments.
- Contribute to disaster recovery, backup, and redundancy tooling and strategy.
- Build tools and processes that improve codebase quality.
- Develop infrastructure management tooling and integrations with third-party infrastructure components used in customer environments.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar technical field is required.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience is required.
- Experience developing production-ready infrastructure management tooling with Python or Golang is required.
- Familiarity with at least one observability tool, database, event streaming platform, or container orchestration technology is required.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP is required.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, or GitHub Actions is required.
- Experience supporting production systems in high-consistency transactional environments is desirable.
