Responsibilities
- Design automated test frameworks using Java, TestNG, and Selenium for web application validation.
- Develop reusable test scripts, utilities, test cases, and test data sets to improve coverage and reduce manual regression effort.
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and smoke tests and document detailed results.
- Analyze automation results and failure patterns, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
- Review requirements and technical designs to identify test scenarios and improve test effectiveness.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to clarify requirements, refine acceptance criteria, and improve test coverage.
- Optimize automation suites by refactoring code, removing redundancy, and improving execution speed.
- Configure and run automated test suites in continuous integration environments.
- Document defects with reproduction steps, environment details, and impact assessments, then validate fixes.
- Maintain regression packs and follow organizational quality standards and testing best practices.
Requirements
- Three to seven years of experience in Java-based test automation.
- Experience building maintainable automation frameworks with Java, TestNG, and Selenium.
- Knowledge of TestNG annotations, data providers, and parallel execution.
- Experience creating Selenium UI test scripts for dynamic elements and cross-browser scenarios.
- Understanding of software testing principles, test design techniques, defect life cycle, and risk-based testing.
- Ability to communicate test findings and quality risks to technical and non-technical partners.
- Cards and payments domain experience is advantageous, including transaction flows, authorization rules, and settlement processes.
- Ability to manage test planning, execution, and reporting independently within a day-shift schedule.
