Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain infrastructure for high-performance, low-latency inference services.
  • Deploy and configure Docker and Kubernetes services, including autoscaling and resource allocation policies.
  • Implement multi-region deployments, fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Develop Python-based scripts and APIs for data preprocessing, inference execution, and post-processing.
  • Validate inference accuracy and performance with machine learning engineers against functional and latency requirements.
  • Triage and resolve service defects using logs, metrics, and distributed traces.
  • Debug model deployment, container orchestration, and networking issues and document root causes.
  • Develop automation to detect and mitigate common failure modes and improve reliability.
  • Document infrastructure configurations, inference workflows, APIs, defects, enhancements, and releases.
  • Collaborate with product management and user experience teams on inference service interfaces and participate in release planning.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign equivalent in computer science or a related field.
  • One year of experience as a software developer, software engineering intern, Member of Technical Staff, software engineer, or in a related occupation.
  • Employer accepts qualifying full-time or equivalent part-time experience gained before, during, or after graduate studies.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Java or C++, ActiveMQ and Kafka, Python or Groovy, JavaScript or TypeScript, Linux, SQL, OracleDB, Redis, and Git.
