Responsibilities

  • Lead team formation and head the agile delivery team for Treasury Execution of SPR.
  • Understand the programme of work and the current Treasury technical landscape.
  • Design and build software solutions as part of the delivery team.
  • Ensure delivered software meets functional and non-functional requirements and adheres to architectural specifications.
  • Own solution maintainability and ensure refactoring is prioritized alongside new requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers on component designs.
  • Follow agreed development standards.
  • Facilitate high-level estimating and release planning.
  • Occasionally travel to visit offshore resources as required.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience with Java and Spring.
  • Experience with high-volume data processing and ETL using Java, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
  • Strong performance-tuning and stream-based processing capabilities.
  • Experience with reactive or stream-based development patterns, including Rx and Akka.
  • Track record of building scalable and maintainable applications.
  • Experience with relational databases, ideally Oracle Exadata.
  • Experience with XML processing and publishing and consuming web services.
  • Experience with continuous integration and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience developing cloud-based solutions, preferably with GCP.
  • Experience working in an Agile-based team, ideally Scrum.
  • NoSQL database knowledge is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, structured problem-solving, delivery focus, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrable track record of high-quality delivery and responsible use of AI tools and data outputs.
