Responsibilities
- Lead team formation and head the agile delivery team for Treasury Execution of SPR.
- Understand the programme of work and the current Treasury technical landscape.
- Design and build software solutions as part of the delivery team.
- Ensure delivered software meets functional and non-functional requirements and adheres to architectural specifications.
- Own solution maintainability and ensure refactoring is prioritized alongside new requirements.
- Collaborate with architects and developers on component designs.
- Follow agreed development standards.
- Facilitate high-level estimating and release planning.
- Occasionally travel to visit offshore resources as required.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience with Java and Spring.
- Experience with high-volume data processing and ETL using Java, Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
- Strong performance-tuning and stream-based processing capabilities.
- Experience with reactive or stream-based development patterns, including Rx and Akka.
- Track record of building scalable and maintainable applications.
- Experience with relational databases, ideally Oracle Exadata.
- Experience with XML processing and publishing and consuming web services.
- Experience with continuous integration and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience developing cloud-based solutions, preferably with GCP.
- Experience working in an Agile-based team, ideally Scrum.
- NoSQL database knowledge is beneficial.
- Strong written and verbal communication, structured problem-solving, delivery focus, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrable track record of high-quality delivery and responsible use of AI tools and data outputs.
