Base Salary
$85k - $113k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop deep technical expertise in Datadog products and continuously learn as the platform evolves.
- Investigate complex escalations and lead high-stakes technical calls for critical customer challenges.
- Troubleshoot log ingestion, parsing, routing, indexing, retention, facets, storage, rehydration, filters, and quotas.
- Run office hours and learning sessions and mentor the Global Support Engineering team.
- Partner with Engineering and Product to identify gaps, drive improvements, and advocate for customers.
- Build internal diagnostic tools, reusable troubleshooting flows, and technical guides for TSEs and customers.
Requirements
- Experience troubleshooting parsing failures, dropped logs, incorrect facets, pipeline routing problems, and noisy ingestion.
- Comfort working with GROK, JSON, custom log parsers, filters, remappers, and processors.
- Familiarity with log-based monitors, Live Tail, cold storage, rehydration, exclusion filters, and quotas.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer engagement, collaboration, mentoring, and continuous-learning skills.
- Computer Science or Engineering major is a bonus qualification.
- Experience using Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, or similar software is a bonus qualification.
