Responsibilities
- Improve test processes and automation in a collaborative agile environment.
- Coach and mentor team members on testing best practices.
- Review peer code and mentor more junior team members.
- Act as the team authority on QA and automation, providing evidence-based release recommendations.
- Build reliable automated tests and frameworks for functional and non-functional coverage.
- Configure CI to balance test coverage, confidence, and team benefit.
- Advocate for quality practices across teams.
- Configure environments, inspect databases, and collaborate with software engineers.
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise writing automated tests, such as with Cypress.io, and applying test automation design patterns.
- Experience building test frameworks tailored for continuous delivery environments.
- Proven experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Strong practical understanding of RESTful web services, HTTP protocols, and API testing; Postman or Pact experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with Java 17+ and React.js 18 is a bonus.
- Experience with SonarQube, Artillery, and Zephyr Scale/TM4J is a bonus.
- Exposure to AWS, GCP, Amazon SNS/SQS, or Apache Kafka is a bonus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with software engineers and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
