Base Salary
$140k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement payment processing systems with high throughput and reliability.
- Build APIs and SDKs for merchant integration.
- Develop fraud detection features using real-time data analysis.
- Architect systems for performance and observability at scale.
- Optimize database queries and service communication patterns.
- Work end-to-end on product features from design to deployment.
- Contribute to technical decisions and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js; React experience is a plus.
- Deep understanding of REST API design and databases, especially MongoDB.
- Experience with high transaction volume systems and distributed systems concepts.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and containerized deployments.
- Proven track record of shipping and maintaining production systems.
- Clear communication skills for discussing technical tradeoffs.
