Base Salary

$106k - $156k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Lead infrastructure-as-code projects and build APIs and tools for reliable, repeatable cloud deployments.
  • Implement abstractions across AWS, Kubernetes, open-source technologies, and internal infrastructure.
  • Design robust, secure, and observable cloud infrastructure and troubleshoot complex multi-layer infrastructure problems.
  • Architect Kubernetes-based systems and develop container orchestration, CI/CD, and workflow pipelines.
  • Support data center operations, monitoring, alerting, notifications, and internal systems.
  • Facilitate technical design sessions and provide technical leadership and hands-on support.
  • Participate in different schedules as part of an on-call rotation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent certifications.
  • Typically five or more years of related experience and at least three years of experience in modern application design patterns.
  • Prior DevOps, software engineering, or related experience, with the ability to work on multiple projects and understand software environments and network topologies.
  • Expertise with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong AWS knowledge, including compute, networking, storage, observability, security, and services such as EC2, IAM, ELB, Route53, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and DynamoDB.
  • Experience architecting Kubernetes-based systems and working with Kubernetes, TKGi, EKS, ECS, Docker, and containerization.
  • Proficiency debugging networks, DNS, HTTP, TLS, load balancing, build systems, Linux, and Docker.
  • Knowledge of Chef, Ansible, Puppet, infrastructure-as-code, containerization, orchestration, and at least one of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with scalable distributed data center or cloud computing systems and security and encryption protocols.
  • Ability to create and edit scripts, facilitate technical design sessions, and participate in on-call rotations.
  • AWS certification is strongly preferred; background and drug screening are required.
