Base Salary
$160k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain autonomy integration environments, reference configurations, test fixtures, end-to-end examples, and integration baselines.
- Develop and maintain automated software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and system-level tests across autonomy components.
- Integrate and debug production software across planning, controls, simulation, vehicle interfaces, and other autonomy systems.
- Investigate cross-system failures, isolate responsible layers, fix integration-owned defects, and communicate evidence to component teams.
- Develop bridge blocks, adaptors, integration tooling, diagnostics, deployment tools, log collection, test orchestration, and failure-triage utilities.
- Support deployment to robotic and autonomous hardware, including configuration, telemetry, interface troubleshooting, and lab or field debugging.
- Support flight-test objectives, readiness reviews, troubleshooting, instrumentation, and post-event integration analysis.
- Write setup guides, troubleshooting runbooks, executable examples, and technical training material.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, robotics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience developing or integrating planning, controls, or autonomy decision-making software.
- Strong production software engineering skills in modern C++ and Python.
- Hands-on experience integrating software with robotic or autonomous hardware, including deployment, interfaces, telemetry, and lab or field debugging.
- Experience with software-in-the-loop or hardware-in-the-loop testing and automated system-level tests.
- Experience developing and debugging software on Linux.
- Strong systems-debugging skills across configuration, software, network, timing, and hardware boundaries.
- Ability to write maintainable tools and tests for distributed or real-time systems and communicate findings across disciplines.
- Ability to travel periodically and support lab, field, or flight-test events outside normal working hours.
- Preferred qualifications include robotics middleware, MAVLink or other vehicle protocols, aircraft integration, repeatable end-to-end test environments, configuration-driven systems, observability, automated test orchestration, fielded or safety-critical systems, and technical investigation leadership or mentoring.
