Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery for new and existing enterprise opportunities, identifying AI, integration, and data requirements.
- Design advanced AI architectures spanning agents, context, data layers, integrations, migrations, custom applications, and interfaces.
- Estimate technical effort and consumption impact for scoped work.
- Partner with Account Owners and Deployment Strategists to sell forward deployed engineering services.
- Produce solution designs, architecture diagrams, workflow artifacts, proposals, and statements of work.
- Carry designs into delivery by briefing forward deployed consultants and engineers and providing technical oversight.
- Own delivery standards covering architecture, security, governance, scalability, and reference patterns.
- Build estimation models, discovery questionnaires, and reusable skill libraries.
- Serve as a technical authority through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and product advocacy.
- Maintain the stated expectations of 40% billable and 70% productive utilization.
Requirements
- Experience in solutions architecture or forward deployed engineering for enterprise software, including recent AI solution design for external customers.
- Depth in agentic systems, LLM-based workflows, tool use, context and retrieval design, and selecting AI versus deterministic approaches.
- Experience measuring and maintaining AI quality in production through evaluation, guardrails, human review, and observability.
- Enterprise data architecture experience involving ETL, migrations, conversions, and data readiness for AI.
- Fluency with API and event-driven integration, iPaaS, low-code platforms, and custom middleware.
- Knowledge of REST, GraphQL, webhooks, SCIM, SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, and MCP.
- Working proficiency in Python or TypeScript and experience with AI-assisted editors such as Cursor or Claude Code.
- Working knowledge of enterprise security, compliance, and governance requirements for customer data and AI systems.
- Experience estimating delivery effort, creating statements of work, and developing repeatable estimation models.
- Commercial acumen for customer-facing technical discovery and supporting the sale of technical services.
- Strong presentation, documentation, problem-solving, customer-facing, and cross-engagement collaboration skills.
- BA or BS degree preferred.
