Base Salary

$143k - $331k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Embed with strategic enterprise customers to investigate complex Windows device-management environments and establish technical problem statements, baselines, success measures, and remediation plans.
  • Design, prototype, implement, and validate device-management solutions using scripts, diagnostic tools, configuration changes, policies, and engineering systems.
  • Troubleshoot cross-product issues using customer data, telemetry, logs, and diagnostic tools, and collaborate with Windows and Intune product engineering teams on fixes and telemetry improvements.
  • Maintain accountability for customer outcomes and demonstrate measurable improvements in install-base health.
  • Convert customer solutions into reusable playbooks, patterns, tools, packaged solutions, and technical guidance for broader enterprise impact.
  • Transfer expertise to FDEs, partners, field teams, support teams, and product groups.
  • Build trusted relationships and communicate technical findings, risks, tradeoffs, decisions, and progress to technical and executive audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working directly with enterprise customers to diagnose complex technical environments and implement or validate solutions.
  • Technical experience with enterprise Windows device management, including Intune, Autopilot, provisioning, enrollment, configuration, policies, applications, operating-system updates, endpoint security, compliance, or device health.
  • Experience troubleshooting device-management issues with data, logs, telemetry, diagnostic tools, and structured problem-solving.
  • Experience with enterprise identity, networking, security, and management dependencies affecting Windows devices.
  • Experience building or modifying scripts, automation, diagnostic tools, prototypes, reference implementations, or production-quality technical solutions.
  • Experience collaborating across customer, field, support, and product engineering teams to drive issues through resolution.
  • Experience in forward-deployed engineering, customer-facing software engineering, field engineering, technical consulting, escalation engineering, support engineering, or solutions architecture.
  • Experience with Microsoft Consulting Services, Industry Solutions, Customer Success, FastTrack, or a comparable enterprise technology consulting organization.
  • Deep experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Microsoft Configuration Manager, co-management, Windows Update for Business, application deployment, endpoint analytics, or endpoint security.
  • Experience designing or operating device-management solutions for large, complex, or highly regulated enterprise environments.
  • Ability to synthesize information, identify systemic patterns and root causes, translate findings into customer solutions, and influence product priorities with technical evidence and business impact.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical findings, risks, and recommendations clearly to technical and executive audiences.

Benefits

  • Base pay ranges are provided for Software Engineering IC5 and IC6 levels, with different ranges for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
  • The role may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
