Base Salary

$86k - $139k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design, code, test, implement, and support complex application enhancements with minimal defects.
  • Define scalable system architectures using algorithms, data structures, design patterns, and appropriate technology stacks.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle and comply with Highmark software development standards.
  • Collaborate with customers, business analysts, partners, and IT teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Provide technical support for releases, production issues, on-call coverage, and 24x7 support when necessary.
  • Serve in project roles such as Developer, Technical Lead, or Project Manager based on experience.
  • Conduct technical walkthroughs, report project status, enable vendor solutions, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a developer.
  • At least 5 years of experience with scalable system design, system architectures, modern programming languages, and web services.
  • Experience with .NET, Angular, SQL, and other general-purpose programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with project management tools, databases, and multiple coding languages.
  • Preferred: 7+ years working with technology systems, designing solutions, or developing applications in healthcare.
  • Preferred: 5+ years with HTML5, CSS, Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services, MSSQL, and Windows Server.
  • Preferred: 5+ years translating design mockups, prototypes, and user stories into working applications and producing fault-tolerant, efficient, maintainable code.
  • Preferred: 1+ year working with machine learning, especially natural language understanding, machine translation, deep neural networks, and related fields.
  • Preferred certifications include Java Developer, DB2, or Cognos certification.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving, root-cause analysis, issue-resolution, leadership, communication, and healthcare or health-insurance industry experience.
