Sr. Software AI Engineer
GE VernovaResponsibilities
- Collaborate with product, design, operations, and infrastructure teams to build AI-native application experiences.
- Build AI agents, MCP servers, tools, and LLM or generative AI integrations using structured prompting, memory management, and context management.
- Implement retrieval-augmented generation patterns using embeddings and retrieval for context-aware and personalized experiences.
- Drive end-to-end execution of medium-to-large features and contribute to technical direction.
- Partner with internal teams and external contractors on technical reviews, integrations, and delivery execution.
- Establish testing approaches for prompts and model performance and implement observability for AI features.
- Provide production support for AI applications and underlying infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of experience using at least one general-purpose programming language, with Python preferred and Java or Go also accepted.
- Front-end experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Proven experience shipping production applications incorporating LLMs, MCPs, or AI services at scale.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and advanced containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Preferred experience in cloud software development, architecture design, technical leadership, and system optimization.
- Preferred experience with Strands, ADK, or agent development frameworks.
- Preferred experience with multiple LLM providers and AI orchestration frameworks such as Amazon Bedrock AgentCore and LangChain.
- Preferred experience with React, Vue, or Angular and advanced state management.
- Preferred experience with vector databases such as pgvector and embedding model optimization.
- Preferred experience with enterprise RAG architectures, semantic search optimization, and conversation memory management at scale.
