Responsibilities
- Design and architect engineering initiatives for the Data Exchange platform.
- Deliver end-to-end backend engineering with strong quality and operational excellence.
- Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers and new team members.
- Solve complex programming, design, customer, and platform problems creatively.
- Collaborate with product management, product lines, and business units to drive results.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, monitor service performance and failures, diagnose root causes, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Experiment rapidly and productize solutions for customer outcomes.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of professional software engineering experience with distributed systems or backend platform development.
- BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.
- Strong object-oriented programming knowledge and backend programming experience with Java, Java EE, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with RAG technologies, LLM frameworks and APIs, embedding models, vector databases, or custom agentic frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with server-side technologies, AWS cloud technologies, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AI/ML, generative AI, LLMs such as GPT, Claude, and Gemini, and prompt engineering principles.
- Experience designing autonomous or agentic AI systems, including multi-agent frameworks, self-optimizing systems, or LLM-driven decision engines.
- Experience with mission-critical services and platforms, monitoring, failure diagnosis, and root-cause analysis.
- Understanding of machine learning principles including training and validation.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues to technical and nontechnical audiences.
