Responsibilities
- Lead design and architecture discussions for complex backend systems.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers and promote coding and testing best practices.
- Manage critical application lifecycle components from design through deployment.
- Evaluate and introduce technologies to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.
- Collaborate with product owners and partners to influence technical direction.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and deployment strategies.
- Design and implement secure APIs with strong authentication and authorization practices.
- Profile and optimize large-scale applications processing millions of transactions daily.
- Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and technical design discussions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Expert-level proficiency in .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core.
- Experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and event-driven design.
- Experience designing secure APIs and enforcing authentication and authorization best practices.
- Experience profiling and optimizing large-scale applications.
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, AWS services, containerization, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with healthcare data standards such as EDI and HL7 and HIPAA compliance is highly valued.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as xUnit and Moq.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
- Familiarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL database systems.
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Dynatrace and Amazon CloudWatch.
- Comfort using Git, Windows, Linux, PowerShell, and Bash.
- Familiarity with DRY, SOLID, and Clean Architecture principles.
