Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own software quality across the Cloud Services domain from specification through production.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and test coverage for new functionality, regressions, and production readiness.
- Define testing strategies, acceptance criteria, risks, edge cases, dependencies, and failure scenarios early in development.
- Verify expected and failure-path behavior and provide evidence that pull requests are ready for production.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for testing, review, and automation while validating generated output.
- Review other engineers’ code and tests, identify quality and reliability risks, and provide actionable feedback.
- Replace repetitive manual validation with reliable automation where practical.
- Participate in on-call and incident analysis and turn production issues into testing and engineering improvements.
- Mentor engineers in testing practices, automation techniques, and quality standards.
- Coordinate integration and quality dependencies across teams and work with unfamiliar or legacy systems.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with automated testing frameworks and software quality engineering.
- Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test suites for production software.
- Experience testing complex production systems spanning multiple components or services.
- Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, and failure-path testing.
- Experience defining test strategies and translating requirements into clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Experience collaborating with software engineers throughout the development lifecycle rather than testing only after development.
- Ability to read and understand application code to identify risks, test gaps, and defects.
- Experience with production systems and incident analysis, including using production issues to improve test coverage.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering or testing tools in daily technical work.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to work in a remote, distributed, multi-time-zone team.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience with CDN, WAF, and server security.
- Preferred: experience with Perl, PHP, React, or Vue.
- Preferred: experience in managed hosting, cloud platforms, or high-availability service environments.
- Preferred: experience with CI/CD-integrated automated testing and mentoring engineers or establishing quality standards.
