Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own quality end to end across cart, checkout, order, billing, and authentication systems.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and coverage for customer transaction flows, integrations, regression scenarios, and critical business processes.
- Define test strategies, identify risks and failure scenarios, and translate requirements into clear acceptance criteria.
- Validate end-to-end customer journeys and provide test, coverage, and failure-path evidence in pull requests.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools for testing, automation, and review while validating generated output.
- Review code and test changes, identify quality and reliability risks, and provide actionable feedback.
- Improve testing efficiency through automation and support production quality through incident analysis and coverage improvements.
- Mentor engineers, coordinate cross-team quality dependencies, and participate in the on-call rotation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with automated testing frameworks and software quality engineering.
- Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test suites for production applications.
- Experience testing complex end-to-end workflows across multiple systems and integrations.
- Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, and failure-path testing principles.
- Experience defining test strategies and translating requirements into testable acceptance criteria.
- Experience collaborating with software engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ability to read and understand application code to identify risks, test gaps, and potential defects.
- Experience with production systems and incident analysis.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering or testing tools.
- Strong written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience with billing and invoicing systems, relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MariaDB, or Perl or PHP.
- Preferred: experience with transaction-heavy systems, payment or financial integrations, managed hosting, cloud platforms, SaaS, CI/CD-integrated testing, or mentoring engineers.
