Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end quality for VPS, Cloud Dedicated, storage, and bare metal products from specification through production.
- Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and test suites covering regression, integration, expected behavior, and failure paths.
- Define test strategies, identify risks and edge cases, and translate requirements into clear, testable acceptance criteria.
- Validate changes across compute, virtualization, storage, networking, and supporting software components.
- Use AI-assisted and agentic tools daily for testing, automation, code review, and engineering workflows while validating their output.
- Review code and tests, provide actionable feedback, and ensure pull requests include meaningful evidence and coverage.
- Improve testing efficiency by replacing repetitive manual validation with reliable automation.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident analysis, converting production issues into test and engineering improvements.
- Mentor engineers in testing, automation, quality practices, and review standards.
- Coordinate cross-team quality dependencies and work safely in unfamiliar or legacy systems.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience with automated testing frameworks and software quality engineering.
- Strong experience designing, building, and maintaining automated test suites for production systems.
- Experience testing complex environments with multiple infrastructure or application components.
- Strong understanding of functional, integration, regression, and failure-path testing principles.
- Experience defining test strategies and translating requirements into testable acceptance criteria.
- Experience collaborating with engineers throughout the development lifecycle rather than testing only after development.
- Ability to read application or infrastructure code and identify risks, test gaps, and potential defects.
- Experience operating production systems, participating in on-call rotations, and using incident analysis to improve coverage.
- Hands-on daily experience with AI-assisted engineering or testing tools.
- Strong written communication skills in a remote, distributed, multi-time-zone team.
- Preferred: 5+ years of experience with KVM or Linux server administration.
- Preferred: experience with Perl, PHP, React, or Vue.
- Preferred: experience testing virtualization, VPS, bare metal, storage, or cloud infrastructure.
- Preferred: experience in managed hosting, cloud platforms, or other high-availability services.
- Preferred: experience with CI/CD-integrated automated testing and mentoring engineers or establishing quality standards.
