Responsibilities
- Define and drive solution architecture for enterprise applications.
- Lead technical design activities and support implementation across distributed teams.
- Modernise and evolve complex legacy systems.
- Design solutions that are scalable, maintainable, secure, and high performing.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, QA, DevOps, business stakeholders, and distributed delivery teams.
- Support delivery throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Promote engineering best practices and architectural standards.
- Contribute to long-term technology roadmaps and future architecture decisions.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software development and solution architecture.
- Strong Java background, including Java 11/17 and Java EE/Jakarta EE.
- Strong database design and development expertise, particularly with PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly Application Server.
- Experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale applications.
- Understanding of software architecture, object-oriented design principles, and design patterns.
- Experience leading legacy-system modernisation and working in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with JPA/Hibernate, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Maven, and Azure DevOps is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with geographically distributed technical and non-technical stakeholders.
