Responsibilities
- Define and maintain solution architecture, technical standards, design principles, and technology roadmaps for enterprise applications.
- Lead architecture and design discussions across product, engineering, infrastructure, and business teams.
- Architect and develop cloud-native enterprise solutions using Java, Spring Boot, containerization, and modern deployment patterns.
- Design scalable APIs, service contracts, integration patterns, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Provide technical leadership, architectural guidance, design reviews, mentoring, and escalation support for development teams.
- Architect and support AI-powered business applications using Palantir Foundry, Palantir AIP, Ontology, Workshop, and related AI frameworks.
- Design and integrate Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, and AI workflow capabilities into enterprise applications.
- Lead proofs of concept, architecture spikes, technical evaluations, innovation initiatives, and emerging-technology assessments.
- Design and support cloud-native architectures across AWS and/or Azure, including deployment, monitoring, CI/CD, observability, and operational requirements.
- Design PostgreSQL database architectures, data models, schema migrations, query optimization, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and performance tuning.
- Design messaging and event-driven solutions using Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, or similar platforms.
- Support legacy modernization and migration from monolithic applications to microservices-based architectures.
- Ensure architecture compliance with enterprise security, governance, regulatory, and operational requirements.
Requirements
- 13+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, and enterprise application architecture.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Java applications.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, microservices, distributed systems, service discovery, API gateways, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, enterprise integrations, service contracts, monolithic and microservices architectures, and legacy modernization.
- Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, Palantir AIP, Ontology, and Workshop.
- Experience architecting AI-powered enterprise applications and integrating AI/LLM capabilities, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, and AI workflow architectures.
- Experience conducting proofs of concept, technical feasibility studies, architecture spikes, and emerging-technology evaluations.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL, data modeling, database schemas, schema migrations, query optimization, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and database performance tuning.
- Experience defining data integration and data governance approaches across applications.
- Good understanding of AWS and/or Azure cloud architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, and Terraform.
- Experience supporting CI/CD implementations using Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS/SNS, asynchronous communication patterns, and distributed transaction management.
- Strong cloud architecture, solution design, architectural leadership, technical decision-making, consulting, stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions and evaluate tools, frameworks, AI platforms, and technologies.
