Responsibilities
- Lead the design and deployment of SDN solutions including virtual networks, Geneve/VXLAN overlays, logical switches and routers, controllers, VPCs, gateways, VPNs, and BGP configurations.
- Architect and implement microsegmentation, application security, Zero Trust, security group, allowlist/denylist, quarantine, and traffic-isolation policies.
- Configure SDN controllers, edge gateways, security policies, L2 extensions, VPN tunnels, and BGP sessions in production environments.
- Manage and optimize VMware, Nutanix AHV, or equivalent virtualization platforms using Prism Central, vCenter, or similar lifecycle-management tools.
- Support workload and network migrations, hybrid cloud architectures, flow analytics, compliance integrations, and high-availability network services.
- Diagnose and resolve overlay, routing, policy-enforcement, and performance issues using CLI tools, REST APIs, automation scripts, and network analysis tools.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and collaborate with enterprise network, security, compute, and storage teams.
- Provide customer consulting, stakeholder engagement, documentation, presentations, workshops, and mentoring for junior consultants.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in data center virtualization and SDN solutions.
- Strong understanding of VLANs, routing, NAT, VPNs, BGP, firewalls, VXLAN, and Geneve overlays.
- Hands-on experience with at least one SDN platform such as VMware NSX, Nutanix Flow, or Cisco ACI.
- Proven expertise in microsegmentation and Zero Trust architecture design.
- Working knowledge of at least one hypervisor: VMware ESXi, Nutanix AHV, or Hyper-V.
- Experience integrating virtual and physical network infrastructures and troubleshooting with CLI, APIs, or network analysis tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline.
- Excellent consulting, customer engagement, communication, documentation, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Preferred certifications include VCP-NV, VCAP-NV, CCNP Data Centre, or Nutanix NCP.
- Experience with REST APIs, PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible, AWS, Azure, or GCP is listed as trainable or developable.
