Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance RESTful and GraphQL APIs for enterprise-scale applications.
- Design and develop highly available and resilient microservices architectures.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, business stakeholders, and distributed engineering teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop secure, performant, and reusable application components.
- Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement unit tests, integration tests, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot production issues and maintain application stability.
- Mentor junior developers and promote coding standards and engineering best practices.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and address security, observability, and reliability requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong Java 8/11/17+ programming expertise and extensive Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security experience.
- Strong GraphQL and REST API development and API design experience.
- Experience with microservices architecture, relational databases, NoSQL databases, Git, build tools, CI/CD platforms, Docker, and Kubernetes or OpenShift.
- Experience writing unit, integration, and component tests using JUnit, Mockito, Camel Test, and Karate.
- Experience with observability and security tools including Splunk, Datadog, Fortify, BlackDuck, Twistlock, and SonarQube.
- Strong understanding of design patterns, object-oriented programming, software engineering principles, and Agile/Scrum environments.
- Preferred experience with Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform, API gateways, monitoring tools, Domain-Driven Design, DevSecOps, large-scale enterprise environments, and technical mentoring.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
