Responsibilities
- Engage customer subject-matter experts in workshops to elicit business requirements and solution objectives.
- Translate business requirements into working solutions using DXC Assure/Xuber software products and configuration tools.
- Configure rating algorithms, referral processing, underwriting, claims, business rules, workflows, product logic, validations, reports, documents, and reference data.
- Create and maintain stored procedures, database triggers, indexes, and other database artefacts.
- Collaborate with clients and DXC project teams to deliver agreed solutions.
- Perform software configuration, solution testing, validation, and issue resolution.
- Demonstrate DXC Assure/Xuber solutions in new client engagements.
- Prepare functional and technical documentation, contribute to quality reviews and estimates, and support project transition into support.
- Provide guidance on solution limitations and opportunities and contribute to best-practice design and configuration.
Requirements
- Insurance domain expertise, preferably including Lloyds and Company market operations such as brokers, carriers, syndicates, and MGAs.
- Knowledge of insurance systems covering underwriting, claims, accounts, and reinsurance.
- Experience configuring web-based policy administration or claims systems.
- Strong SQL skills, including constructing queries, views, triggers, and stored procedures.
- Knowledge of on-premise and cloud-based solutions and SOAP- and REST-based APIs.
- Detailed understanding of the full project lifecycle and working knowledge of process mapping, data flow diagrams, and entity relationship mapping.
- Experience or knowledge configuring DXC Assure/Xuber products is desirable.
- Knowledge of XML, XSLT, and JSON is desirable.
- Strong communication, documentation, teamwork, deadline-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours with colleagues in different time zones.
