Responsibilities
- Define scalable solution architectures for complex, early-stage product concepts across technology stacks, data platforms, and environments.
- Establish responsible AI engineering practices covering AI-assisted development, evaluation, observability, and production readiness.
- Set technical direction and lead architecture implementation for applications, interfaces, integrations, and Foundry R&D data platforms.
- Influence R&D, product, and technology teams on architecture tradeoffs, delivery risks, and long-term platform choices.
- Identify technical risks and design experiments or prototypes to de-risk concepts before market validation.
- Coach senior engineers, review critical designs, raise quality standards, and establish reusable engineering practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience architecting and building 0-to-1 applications using generative AI, LLMs, or agentic patterns.
- Experience setting technical strategy, making architecture decisions under uncertainty, and influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Deep experience with AI frameworks and SDKs such as LangGraph, OpenAI Agents SDK, or Codex SDK.
- Expertise with cloud and data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, and Azure.
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML, data analytics, data product development, data quality, data privacy, and localization.
- Expertise with Java, Spring Boot, React, TypeScript, Postgres, and other object-oriented languages, frontend frameworks, and database technologies.
- Proven ability to create reusable architecture patterns, platforms, and engineering practices that improve delivery, quality, or technical risk.
- Demonstrated coaching, design-review, standards-setting, technical leadership, communication, business acumen, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Experience representing technical work through forums, conferences, publications, open-source contributions, patents, or other thought-leadership channels.

- Toronto base-pay range of $208,000 - $333,000 CAD.
