Responsibilities
- Lead R&D efforts in AI and machine learning applications for financial services, including document intelligence and automated decisioning.
- Architect end-to-end AI solutions from model design through scalable deployment.
- Drive experimentation with RAG, multi-agent systems, transformer architectures, and other advanced methods.
- Establish and maintain deployment pipelines for AI model implementation and monitoring.
- Lead complex AI projects from conception to production, including solution architecture and system design.
- Coordinate ML engineers, backend developers, data scientists, and business stakeholders.
- Develop project roadmaps, load planning, and optimization strategies for AI implementations.
- Mentor junior engineers and guide teams on AI/ML concepts and business applications.
- Provide technical leadership in algorithm selection, model evaluation, engineering best practices, code reviews, technical writing, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Expert-level Python proficiency and experience with JavaScript, SQL, and web technologies.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Hugging Face Transformers, and LangChain.
- Experience developing with FastAPI, Django, and Flask, including RESTful API design and development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, data processing pipelines, and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, retrieval-augmented generation, and multi-agent systems.
- 10+ years of professional software development or relevant research experience with a strong Python background.
- 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience in production environments.
- Proven experience leading technical teams and complex AI projects.
- Experience with full-stack development and system integration.
- Background in mentoring and developing technical talent.
- Preferred: AI/ML publications or research contributions, financial services or regulated-industry experience, document processing and PDF parsing, text extraction, prompt engineering, and large language model optimization.
