- Identify and resolve technical problems affecting charter velocity, reliability, and customer experience.
- Author and shepherd technical strategy documents and architecture decision records.
- Define integration contracts and service boundaries across HCM and adjacent Workforce Solutions platforms.
- Lead modernization and re-platforming strategy, including sequencing, migration paths, and risk management for live systems.
- Own architecture for AI-powered and agentic product capabilities, including shared services, context and retrieval patterns, orchestration, and reuse.
- Establish evaluation and quality infrastructure for non-deterministic systems, including regression suites, guardrails, fallback behavior, cost and latency budgets, and observability.
- Improve AI engineering practices across the charter through standards, internal tooling, forums, and measurable workflows.
- Mentor senior and staff-track engineers and multiply engineering output through design review, technical mentorship, and problem solving.
- Drive improvements in reliability, latency, security posture, operational toil, and root-cause resolution across the charter.
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point for complex customer-impacting and cross-team incidents.
- Ensure systems meet standards for security, privacy, data governance, and multi-jurisdiction regulatory compliance.
- Contribute to hiring, leveling calibration, and technical assessment of senior and staff candidates.
