Responsibilities
- Build, improve, and maintain AI-powered developer tools and applications across frontend interfaces, APIs, and backend services.
- Design and architect scalable AI systems and cloud integrations, including LLM-powered features, agentic workflows, and MCP-based services.
- Write, architect, and review code across frontend and backend layers of the AI tooling ecosystem.
- Identify systemic problems, technical debt, and opportunities to improve AI capabilities across the platform.
- Apply engineering best practices for code quality, performance, reliability, and responsible AI development.
- Collaborate with product, design, engineering, and other stakeholders on technical implementations and rollouts.
- Review technical plans and align the AI tools team with Zynga-wide technical vision.
- Provide production and integration support for shared AI tools and services.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent.
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience with significant exposure to AI/ML systems or developer tooling.
- Strong full-stack programming experience with React and TypeScript on the frontend and Python, Go, and/or Node.js on the backend.
- Experience building LLM-powered applications, agentic workflows, or AI developer tools.
- Experience programming RESTful and event-driven services; familiarity with MCP or similar tool-integration protocols is preferred.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database systems and AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with object-oriented and service-oriented design for scalable applications and systems.
- Familiarity with IDE extensions, CLI tooling, or browser-based developer tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of AI/ML developments, foundation models, and responsible AI practices is preferred.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering teams.
