Base Salary
$113k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain native Android applications using Jetpack Compose and native iOS applications using Swift.
- Own mobile architecture decisions and improve scalability, maintainability, performance, security, accessibility, reliability, and delivery across both platforms.
- Deliver secure, accessible, high-quality patient-facing mobile experiences.
- Partner with product, design, QA, backend, and clinical stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Collaborate on releases, technical issue resolution, product quality, issue triage, and root-cause analysis.
- Conduct code reviews, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and contribute to engineering standards and mobile development practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and workflows to improve engineering productivity and delivery efficiency.
- Mentor teammates and share knowledge through code reviews, pairing, documentation, and informal collaboration.
- Help improve mobile tooling, release workflows, and consistency across platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 to 10 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep hands-on experience developing Android applications with Jetpack Compose.
- Deep hands-on experience developing iOS applications with Swift.
- Experience owning mobile architecture decisions and leading technical direction on a project or team.
- Strong understanding of mobile performance, security, and accessibility best practices.
- Experience working in a small, collaborative, high-ownership team environment.
- Strong communication skills and experience partnering with non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools and applying AI-driven workflows to improve productivity.
- Preferred: experience with HL7, FHIR, or a regulated/compliance-driven environment.
- Preferred: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile release management.
- Preferred: experience mentoring engineers or helping lead a small pod or team.
