Responsibilities
- Translate ambiguous client business problems into scoped AI use cases, MVPs, data requirements, and evaluation criteria.
- Build prototypes and production systems using LLMs, RAG pipelines, fine-tuning, agents, and traditional ML models.
- Design AI architectures covering data ingestion, feature pipelines, embeddings, vector stores, model selection, tuning, and evaluation.
- Integrate AI components with client APIs, data warehouses, SaaS platforms, and cloud, hybrid, or on-premises infrastructure.
- Optimize solutions for latency, cost, reliability, and scalability while addressing security, compliance, data residency, and legacy-system constraints.
- Set up monitoring for model performance and drift, prompt failures, hallucinations, and regressions.
- Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to clients and capture reusable architectures, patterns, accelerators, and reference implementations.
- Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams, support technical pre-sales with demos, and share lessons learned across engagements.
Requirements
- 7+ years of AI/ML engineering experience and 7+ years of experience with cloud platforms and modern data infrastructure.
- Strong production Python skills and fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Deep applied AI/ML knowledge spanning NLP, transformers, generative models, reinforcement learning, classical ML, and statistical modeling.
- Advanced LLM/RAG engineering experience with prompt pipelines, embeddings, vector stores, hybrid retrieval, grounding, hallucination mitigation, and evaluation frameworks.
- Experience with LLMOps/MLOps, automated testing, drift monitoring, safety and guardrails, ML CI/CD, telemetry, lineage, and governance.
- Experience with containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise security, compliance, and governance requirements including SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA.
- Proven client-facing experience in technical consulting, solutions engineering, product engineering, forward-deployed engineering, field engineering, or technical account management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through complex delivery cycles and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Preferred qualifications include production experience building AI agents or autonomous systems, experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Llama Index, or FastAPI, and domain expertise in finance, healthcare, government, or manufacturing.
