Base Salary
$197k - $243k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services, fraud platform components, and pipelines that implement product logic, improve engineering efficiency, and produce features for ML models.
- Contribute as a Tech Lead to the technical roadmap and risk defense strategy.
- Advance data mining and data-driven approaches to fraud detection and prevention.
- Perform occasional data analysis to understand the fraud and abuse domain.
- Bridge communication between backend engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers.
- Help recruit future team members.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional experience working with scalable, distributed systems.
- Strong experience with large-scale, data-driven architecture, API design, data modeling, and SQL or NoSQL data storage.
- Experience in risk prevention, machine learning, or analytical work such as anti-fraud, anti-abuse, trust and safety, data analysis, scientific computing, statistical modeling, or research.
- Experience delivering products end-to-end from ideation through implementation and A/B testing.
- Strong ownership, proactive and candid communication, and the ability to handle high complexity.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or another quantitative field.
