Base Salary

$120k - $228k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the organization.
  • Lead the design and implementation of event-driven, distributed systems for metadata processing.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Infrastructure, and Product teams to deliver robust systems.
  • Contribute to the engineering strategy by identifying gaps and proposing new initiatives.
  • Build and maintain scalable APIs and backend services for content processing.
  • Leverage AWS services to design and deploy resilient systems.
  • Optimize existing backend systems for scalability and performance.
  • Ensure system health and data integrity through monitoring and automated testing.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend or distributed systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Python with 5+ years of experience.
  • Expertise in designing large-scale event-driven and distributed systems.
  • Strong cloud expertise with AWS services.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of system performance and optimization.
  • Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with data processing frameworks and workflow orchestration tools is a plus.
  • Experience integrating ML or LLM-based models into production systems is a bonus.
