Responsibilities
- Own technical presales from discovery and landscape assessment through architecture, sizing, estimation, proposals, client presentations, bid defense, negotiation support, and delivery handover.
- Design SAP ERP and S/4HANA target architectures, transformation roadmaps, implementation and conversion approaches, and cloud or hybrid operating models.
- Lead S/4HANA readiness, system conversion, OS and database migration, DMO, installation, upgrades, patching, system copies, and cutover planning.
- Create SAP landscape and infrastructure designs covering compute, HANA sizing, networking, storage, security, access, backup and recovery, high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Shape SAP workloads on Azure, AWS, and GCP, including migration strategy, resilience, platform operations, and cost-conscious architecture decisions.
- Define SAP BASIS managed-services solutions covering L2/L3 support, platform administration, service governance, automation, observability, continuous improvement, and operational readiness.
- Develop technical solution artifacts, assumptions, dependencies, risks, effort estimates, staffing inputs, migration waves, service descriptions, and statement-of-work content.
- Support deal governance and develop reusable standards, reference architectures, accelerators, and knowledge assets.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of experience in SAP BASIS and HANA, including presales or solution architecture experience.
- Deep expertise in SAP BASIS, HANA, NetWeaver, Solution Manager, and S/4HANA technical architecture.
- Practical experience with SAP implementation, conversion, migration, upgrades, cloud hosting, sizing, high availability and disaster recovery, backup and recovery, monitoring, and performance engineering.
- Understanding of operating systems, databases, networks, storage, cloud infrastructure, security, integration, and SAP DevOps toolchains.
- Strong presales experience in solution storytelling, estimation, RFP responses, architecture documentation, customer workshops, executive presentations, and technical negotiation.
- At least one end-to-end S/4HANA conversion or major SAP transformation.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant conversion, HANA, cloud, or migration certification is preferred.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, communication, customer engagement, stakeholder-management, facilitation, decision-making, and structured problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead cross-functional or matrix teams, manage competing priorities, work across cultures and time zones, and operate with limited supervision.
