Responsibilities
- Develop and code application programs for large-scale banking systems.
- Perform testing, debugging, installation, and troubleshooting of developed applications.
- Review, analyze, and modify programming systems and ensure the operating efficiency of existing applications.
- Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot RESTful APIs and interface specifications.
- Conduct organizational needs and goals analysis for application-system development and implementation.
- Maintain documentation for systems development and revisions.
- Collaborate effectively with other developers, business partners, and RBC technology communities.
Requirements
- 3–4 years of experience with Angular 2+, Java 8, REST APIs, microservices, Spring Framework, Maven, SQL, and MongoDB.
- Experience with Angular 6+, Python, and AWS S3.
- Knowledge of distributed cloud applications using Pivotal Cloud Foundry, OpenShift, and Docker.
- Hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting RESTful APIs and interface specifications including Swagger, RAML, and SOAP.
- Knowledge of security gateways and protocols including JWT, OAuth 2.0, and SSL certificates.
- Knowledge of full software development lifecycle practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source code management, build processes, and testing.
- Experience with Git code merging and branching methodologies and code release processes.
- Theoretical knowledge of web application architectures and frameworks including Angular or React and their integration with services.
- Nice-to-have knowledge of object-oriented coding, design patterns, refactoring, clean code, Kafka, MySQL, non-relational databases, caching, event-driven architectures, microservice design, Camunda workflow, and SDET practices.
